What species of waterfowl are in Kodiak, Alaska?

Harlequin, barrows goldeneye, common goldeneye, surf scoter, black (common) scoter, white wing scoter, longtail (formerly known as oldsquaw), common merganser, red breasted merganser, greater scaup, bufflehead, mallard, widgeon, gadwall, emperor goose.

When is the season?

Waterfowl season in Kodiak is from October 8 - January 22.

What are the bag/possession limits?

Ducks: 7 per day, 21 in possession. Sea ducks: 7 per day, 20 per season. No more than 4 of any one sea duck species per year.

How do I schedule a hunt?

You can reach out to us via text, phone call, email, Instagram, or by submission on our “Contact Us” page. You will need to put a non-refundable 50% deposit down to hold your dates. The remaining balance will be due 90 days prior to the first day of your scheduled hunt. Maximum of 6 hunters per group. 4 hunters will guarantee a private group.

What licenses do you need to hunt as a non-resident?

For waterfowl you need a small game license ($60) OR a hunting license ($160). Additionally, you will need the state waterfowl stamp ($10) and the federal waterfowl stamp ($25).

For deer you will need a hunting license ($160) and a deer tag ($300). Reminder that we are big game transporters, not guides. It is your responsibility to follow all regulations and we are required to report any violations.

How do we get there?

Fly from your home airport to Anchorage, Alaska. Then a less than 1 hour flight from Anchorage to Kodiak with Alaska Airlines. We will pick you up from the airport and bring you a vehicle for you to use during your stay.

How do we get our birds home?

The price of your hunt includes preparation for your trophy birds. This means we will freeze, wrap, and package your birds in an insulated cooler box. This box is able to be checked on the plane as another piece of luggage.

What equipment/clothing do we need?

Shotgun, waders, and hunting gear appropriate for all weather conditions. We will be hunting rain, snow, or shine. We recommend being prepared for temperatures ranging from 0-45 degrees Fahrenheit.
